Question of the Day: What do Lysol Chasers and Storm Chasers have in common?

2020 has truly brought forth unprecedented changes and demands. Who would have thought Lysol would now be more demanding than food to the American people? Yet, who would have imagined the takeover of Lysol chasers? I liken them to storm chasers. Let me clarify and compare.

Storm chasing is broadly defined as the pursuit of any severe weather condition, regardless of motive, which can be curiosity, adventure, scientific investigation, or for news or media coverage. A person who chases storms is known as a storm chaser. A tornado is the single biggest objective for most chasers.

Lysol chasing is the heavy pursuit of sanitizing products at on-line and in-store suppliers needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. A person who chases disinfection/sanitizing products is known as a Lysol chaser. Lysol disinfectant spray is the single biggest sought-after product today, and people will almost kill (spoken figuratively) to get it. It is the single biggest objective each day for these chasers. To achieve such products, Lysol chasers consider it a feat or a prize.

Today, with the onset of tornadoes currently spinning out from Hurricane Laura now barreling down along the Gulf Coast, it has not stopped many Lysol chasers for swarming the stores. I can attest (LOL). They may be in competition with storm chasers.

As noted above and to answer the leading question, Lysol chasers and storm chasers have much in common as noted above. Considering everything that is going on today, I am just trying to maintain a sense of humor, have fun, and stay safe. With that, this blog does it for me.

Be careful and stay safe out there!
